How it works

Shareable Dashboards in detail

In a typical dashboard tool, the owner opens a view and chooses "Share" to create a link. The share dialog sets which sections and metrics are included, whether the link is public or password-protected, and whether it expires.

The shared dashboard is a read-only view that pulls live data. It uses the same charting as the internal dashboard, and it refreshes at the same cadence as the underlying monitoring runs.

Access controls to look for include public links, password-protected links, and links gated by single sign-on. The owner should be able to revoke a link at any time, and an access log should show who viewed the dashboard and when. For agencies, each client should have its own shared views with independent access controls.
